Director of Operations, DigCitSummit Director, Digital Citizenship Institute
As a technology and data enthusiast Nick spends his days as a CRM Administrator for a small university in the US, and his days and nights as the Director of Operations, DigCitSummit Director, and Cat Wrangler in Chief for the Digital Citizenship Institute. By weekend he is typically found being a husband, dog parent, and amateur photographer – Instagram-ing and blogging about his travels, whether they be local, domestic, or international.
Nick graduated from the University of Massachusetts – Amherst in 2006 with his BA in Psychology, and from the University of Saint Joseph in 2013 with his MA in Education. Having focused his masters on technology implementation and counseling within the educational realm, he strives to employ tech to ease everyday problems in a way that anyone can learn and understand – whether this be with a new system at his university, or explaining Facebook to his Grandmother.
Recently Nick has focused his spare time on documenting and sharing travel and the impact it has had on his world view. Mediums like Instagram and blogging have enabled him to share experiences with family and friends, opening up dialogues that may not have been possible without sharing the experiences first. “A picture is worth a thousand words” resonates, as it can also start a conversation of a thousand more.
